Pioneers of Troop 238 cross over to Tenderfoot in a very traditional way.

Back to the Big Cypress preserve we spent 2 days as guests of nature.
Scouts cooked by themselves
and worked building a solar still, Setting up a fire in an old chimney.
Saw grass and Crickets were ingested and the boys built
a sturdy shelter with locally available materials.
Saturday night we heard stories from the times
of the Seminole wars from our Scoutmaster by campfire light.
The sky was friendly for spotting a number of constellations including
the Perseus, Taurus and Cassiopeia. On Sunday all discussed about tolerance
and reflected on our blessings during the Scout's Own, then packed to go
to the 2nd Seminole war re-enactment. Not a wasted minute!
